Guests can enjoy the convenience of a community park just beyond the backyard, adding to the allure of this serene countryside escape.

This 1865 Italianate farmhouse is distinguished by its strong vertical emphasis, giving the impression that the building is being pulled upward. Its windows and door frames are narrow and elongated, enhancing this beautiful effect. Perhaps the most striking feature is the overhanging roof adorned with decorative eave brackets that project just beyond the roofline. Italianate architecture is more playful and ornate compared to the earlier Greek Revival style, often featuring asymmetrical floor plans. Additional defining elements include thick decorative window moldings and a frieze band on the second-floor.

A Brief History of the Inn

Originally constructed in 1865, Regina's Country Livin' exudes a rich history and timeless charm. Once the family home of successful banker C.E. Dilworth and his wife Leonora Kockernot, the house has seen many chapters in its storied past. In the 1950s, it served as dorm rooms for doctors and nurses from the nearby Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital, contributing to its legacy of hospitality. After being purchased by the Boothe Family in 1961 and later converted back into a private residence, the house stood vacant for several years until its restoration in 2000.
